Albert began his career singing and playing guitar in various bands. In 1973, at a time when many Brazilian artists names used Anglo-Saxon style trying to stand out in the U.S. market, Albert released his first album, including "Feelings", the song that ultimately provide global success.
"Feelings" sold over 300,000 copies and reached number 45 in the list of top 100 in Billboard Magazine in 1975. "Feelings" was also recorded and performed by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Jose Jose, Sarah Vaughan, The Offspring and Johnny Mathis.
